The pollen ball gets bigger as the bee works.Bee Pollens can be very inexpensive, but try to avoid imported pollens from China and Spain. These pollens are, more often than not, heat processed while being dehydrated to facilitate easy storage and increased shelf life. Granules of unprocessed, fresh bee pollen are semi-moist.

The Bee Pollen we sell is not heat processed. However, it is dehydrated at room temperature using forced air fans which simply move air through the pollen to reduce the water content. This extends the shelf life without damage to the pollen. Our fresh bee pollen comes directly from local farms in Southern California.

Just to note, if you want to be able to purchase absolutely unprocessed, fresh bee pollen, which is in it's natural state, please send us a request and we will quote you a price, simply detail the amount you would like to purchase and we will get back to you within a day or so. We do not offer unprocessed raw bee pollen at a fixed price simply because it deteriorates quickly and must be under constant refrigeration, the price is subject to availability, and shipping requires special handling.

Bee pollen and raw honey are the only food on earth containing all 22 nutrients required for complete and perfect health. While Pollen has a reputation for helping avert allergic reactions at hay fever season, it is suggested that for best results the pollen needs to be taken regularly for a period starting at least six weeks before the allergy season begins, and then should be continued during the season. Otherwise, its effectiveness is reduced and it may not seem to help against allergies.

The use of bee pollen against allergies is called desensitization, and by this process the body is prepared to deal with airborne particles of pollen. If there is an existing sensitivity, the body will build its own defenses and adjust to the presence of this substance so that when encountered in the air, it is less irritating, since the body has tuned itself to the presence of the pollen.

Balls of pollen can be quite large.
